More Photograms

I made some more photograms this week in Photography. I am really happy with how they turned out. Here they are!

This next one is a bit different.

Making photograms is a slightly confusing idea but in a nutshell, when you expose light sensitive paper to light, the light sensitive particles in the paper react. In order to see that reaction, you have to emerge the paper in a developing solution. Once in the solution, whatever areas were struck by light turn dark and whatever areas were not hit with light remain white.

So I made this reverse sort of image
by exposing the entire piece of paper to light, dunking my hand in the developer and then smacking my hand on the paper and spritzing some of the developer around. So, only the areas that I allowed the developer to touch turned dark. If I had put the entire paper in the developer the entire thing would have turned black, because I exposed the entire page to light. I loooove it and I wish I had a chance to make more!

Yes, I love it too. Very nice to turn it inside out the way you did. That's really creative! Great job!!! What do you do next?
