In photography we are working on our first assignment: photograms. Photograms are made by placing objects onto light sensitive paper, exposing it to light and then developing it. The areas that were struck by light are black. Here's my first batch. By the way, that white spot appearing in all of them is dust on our scanner or something, its not really there.
I am starting with the one that came out the worst (according to my expectations). Oh, and if you click on the photo, it should get larger.
There was detail in the fabric strips that I was trying to capture but the fabric was to thick to allow for it.
This one is alot more simple. I am pretty happy with it. It has also given me some ideas for next week.
This last one is kind of fun. The round things are those little smashed marbles. They were different colors so they came out with different tones of gray.
We are going to make a few more next week. Then, we have to turn one in to be graded. I am happy cause now I have a better understanding of what works. I am looking forward to getting to make some more next week.

Very nice work, Lauren! The white specks are partly dust, which can be touched out with Photoshop. You can also see the grain of the film, but that's a nice textural part of film photography. I think all 3 are really nicely done. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work in all your classes! :D
