Positively Negatives

So... this is kind of turning into a photo blog for the time being.. I realized I don't really have anything going on except for school and the most interesting thing going on with school is my photography class. (Well, I find my sociology and criminology classes to be extremely interesting but photography is probably the most mutually interesting..)

Anyway, this week my assignment was to take 24 exposures of one subject. I chose my sister, Emily. We were to shoot the roll of film, then process it ourselves. Fortunately, I processed my film properly (yay!). Here are my resulting negatives. They scanned kind of rough.. they are really a lot lighter, of better quality and less creepy, but here they are anyway:

Next Monday I am going to be able to make prints from these negatives. I am only required to turn in one but I imagine I will probably wind up doing my top three or four favorites.

Great job! Dark rooms are really dark, aren't they? They look exactly the way they should, with a good range of lights and darks. Have fun making prints...at least you can have a tiny bit of indirect light after you expose the paper. Make sure to learn about dodging and burning. That's old fashioned photoshop work, before Photoshop was an every day word. :)
