Reminiscing of Viet-Voyages, RP(s)OTW

I was thinking about my trip to Vietnam in the summer of 2008, and I realized that I never really shared pictures with anyone.

These two were both taken during our day trip to the house of the destitutes, a complex outside of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). We sang with them, did crafts with the children and served lunch to everyone.

This is me and our Vietnam friend. We were outside of Danang checking out water wells that our church sponsored. Those are rice fields on either side of the road.
We took an early morning flight up to Hue and got the chance to enjoy some of central Vietnam's lush scenery for the rest of the day. This is a picture from a short boat trip we went on in Hue.
I am very pleased to say that another trip to Asia may be in my near future...

Winter Update/New Tradition!

January 18th comes as the middle of winter term at El Camino College... Winter term is an ugly, beautiful way to get some classes out of the way (its a 5 week semester). I am taking Physical Anthropology and Music Appreciation.

I took my first round of tests in the middle of a bout with the flu. Praise God who blessed me with a B on my anthro test that I was not able to study for and that covered molecular cell biology.

I received a sewing machine for Christmas. I i
mmediately hemmed all of my jeans! Finally, no more dragging :) I cant wait for the spring semester when Ill have a lot more down time to play around with sewing.

I am still waiting to hear from Cal State Long Beach... should be soon.

Thinking a lot about the summer... and having three whole months off of school! Thinking about travel possibilities and missions opportunities. Hopefully my life will be more interesting soon :)

I wish that it snowed in California....
Which brings me to our new feature: Random picture of the week! Each week I will go into a random picture folder and choose a picture. This week's feature is Frosty Jr., Curtis and I's little frozen friend from our trip to Washington in the SUMMER of 2008.

Isnt he cute?
